Digital switchover in the United States and subsequent plans for a 600 MHz incentive auction
The transition to digital television in the United States took place in 2009. Rather than adopting an area-by-area approach to digital switchover, all analogue television stations ceased transmission simultaneously. This was facilitated by a pilot test in North Carolina, which took place a year before the full switchover date. Read more >>
